Áo Dài: traditional dress of Vietnamese

Áo Dài : traditional dress of Vietnamese, Vietnam national costume

Ending my trip/vacation showing off an Áo Dài collection. This is my small contribution to promote the Viet traditional dress. I would like to call all the Vietnamese girls to wear, show off, and promote widely the beautiful Vietnamese dress Áo Dài to the world and let everyone know that this dress style/design is not Chinese style/design. It’s not, and never be Chinese traditional dress. Everyone can wear Áo Dài freely but they should wear them the right ways, and shouldn’t destroy the beauty, elegant style of the dress. No nation other than Vietnam should claim that Áo Dài is their traditional dress, nor their national costume. Thank you for sharing and promoting.

Photos of the red Áo Dài were captured by my brother in law
All other photos were taken by myself, BiBiDoan: I used iPad mini, put it on a chair and set timer shutter.
Dresses: Belong to my sister, I borrowed them from her. She wears Áo Dài to work as a teacher.
Model: myself, BiBiDoan
Hair: Wash & go style
Make up: None, only used a lip simmering

❤️Thank you for being here ❤️

  • I cannot find a place in NYC to buy an Ao Dai. Please help me find a store where I can try on these lovely dresses.

  • I love this post. I often look for shops in NYC that make ao dai, it’s hard to find. I had my one made in California where it seems to be more common. I hope to learn to make them well one day.
Thank you for showing off your sister’s ao dai and how it should he worn. You look beautiful.
